How to play

  1. Drag a dachshund left or right along its row. It can’t pass the other dogs in the row or the edge of the board.
  2. Fill a row from edge to edge to clear it. The dogs above drop down, and any row they complete clears too.
  3. After every move, the next row rises from below. You can rearrange it for free before it rises.
  4. Keep the dogs below the top of the 10-row board. When a dog reaches the top, the game ends.
  5. In a tight spot, use a boost: clear a row, split the dogs along a line, or clear one color.

What kind of game is Dachshund Slide?

Dachshund Slide is a sliding block puzzle with sausage dogs. Each dachshund is a block one to four squares long. Slide the dogs left or right to complete rows on an 8-column board, and full rows clear.

How does scoring work?

Each cleared row scores 100 points. When rows clear one after another in the same move, each clear in the chain is worth more, so planning chain clears is the way to big scores.

Does it get harder?

Yes. The difficulty climbs through 51 levels as your score grows. An easier row still comes along from time to time.

What do the boosts do?

Clear a row removes every dog in one row. Split cuts every dog that crosses a line you choose into two. Clear a color removes all dogs of one color, picked at random from the colors on the board. Each boost holds one charge and comes back after you clear 5 more rows.

Is the leaderboard online?

No. You race 20 rival pups on a weekly leaderboard and an all-time leaderboard. Their scores are generated on your device, so there is no online play and you don’t need an account.
